Massive Crusade Planned for 2005 in Bangalore, India
In February 2004, Benny Hinn Ministries witnessed history made as 4.8 million people gathered during three massive services February 13-15 at the Bandra Kurla Complex in northwest Mumbai for the event billed as Festival of Blessings. Pastor Benny Hinn led what is now being called the largest healing crusade of its kind in recorded history where for three nights the mighty power of God was witnessed as countless hearts and lives were touched in Mumbai.
The crowd roared when Pastor Benny promised to return to India again in 2005. Preparations are now being made to hold another massive Miracle Crusade in Bangalore, India on January 21-23, 2005. Christians in India support the crusade, seven different denominations have pledged their support and backing for this crusade, together with the Southern Asia Bible College of Dr. Ivan Satyavatra.
In preparation and planning for the event, a Benny Hinn Ministries temporary crusade office has been set up at the Full Gospel Assembly of God, one of the largest churches in South India, served by Pastor Thangiah. Benny Hinn Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor Benny Hinn, has made a commitment to the people of India and has establed a permanent Benny Hinn Ministries office in Bangalore.
The event will cover over 230 acres of land that will be leveled and graded for over 250,000 chairs with additional standing room for nearly 3 million people. Before the crusade, we will construct the platform that will be 40 by 60 with choir risers built for 1,500 choir members. We will build 45 screens that are 25-foot wide and 45 sets of platformed speakers that will enable attendees to hear the Gospel message, songs, and prayers as clearly as if they were standing next to the platform itself. To assist those attending the historic event 15,000 to 17,000 ushers will be trained to bring the masses in, and thousands of security guards will provide security and order for the event.
Although most of the people will walk or come by public transportation, there will be a separate ground set aside for parking of 60,000 cars and buses. Benny Hinn Ministries' pre-promotion campaign has begun for this historic event with pamphlet and flyer distribution. Radio spots have been secured, church campaigns are being launched, and automobile bumper stickers announcing the services are being distributed.
As the months remaining prior to the India 2005 Miracle Crusade draw closer, giant billboards will be placed strategically throughout the city of Bangalore. Posters will be placed in businesses and street corners, along with newspaper ads, TV spots, and much more. The Benny Hinn Ministries estimates that the 2005 Bangalore, India crusade will be double what was seen in Mumbai, India earlier this year.

After the February 2004 Mumbai Festival of Blessings Pastor Benny Hinn stated: "Who can adequately describe what God has done here in India? I have been in many large gatherings through the past three decades, yet there is nothing that could have prepared me for those moments when two million people raised their hands to the skies and begin shouting praises to the Lord. God worked mightily among these precious people, pouring out miracles and healings in such a massive way that I've never seen before. I believe we will only begin to understand what really happened in Mumbai when we get to heaven and have the capability there to grasp what truly transpired."
